The NBA this year continued with several innovations in broadcasting, and 2022 should be a milestone for that. There will be two additional alternate broadcasts
The "Inside the All-Star Game" alternate broadcast of the 2022 NBA All-Star Game, which will feature on TNT will have Kevin Harlan, Reggie Miller, D-Wade & Allie LaForce while the traditional All-Star Game broadcast on TBS, with coverage beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 20 will feature Ernie, Charles, Shaq, Kenny & Draymond.
For other markets, including Brazil, that’s where the innovation comes in, the NBA has set up a sort of war/editing real-time room in which they will be getting pieces of all alternate and traditional broadcast, YouTube and even TiKTok videos and air them to all markets world-wide, meaning that NBA pass subscribers won’t miss anything.
The "Inside the All-Star Game" broadcast will also include locker room coverage and more behind-the-scenes footage of NBA All-Star festivities. It has been confirmed that Stephen Curry and at least three other players will have microphones on them, we just don’t know who the other players are.
In January 2022, athletes went through a 6-hour online course with guidance on these live streams.
Team LeBron and Team Durant will face off in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game to highlight a weekend in which the NBA will celebrate its 75th anniversary season, so it’s safe to say that surprises are coming.
