This coming weekend, when the U.S. celebrates its independence, and we all remember the  public readings of our then-newly constitution in Philadelphia's Independence Square, it seems that the center of attention has definitely become sports broadcasting.

A fun fact for our STREETOPIA readers is that in pandemic times (advertisement air prices for sporting events) have shot up about 37%  due to the fact that more consumers are tuned to their television sets and those who “only eventually watched sports, are now more connected to their teams.

Evidence of that can be seen during this weekend, which is packed not only with Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, but yet all kinds of sports. NHL and NBA playoffs head into their final stretches, while one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments, Wimbledon, continues over the weekend. NASCAR will be featured at Road America in Elkhart Lake over the holiday. Fans of golf will have a couple of events to watch. Lacrosse in high school is during its famous preseason.

It’s definitely a full weekend for the Milwaukee Bucks, they have a chance to advance to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1974. The Bucks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 123-112 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final on Thursday. The Hawks didn’t have on court Trae Young, who missed Game 5 because of a bone  injury in his foot. Being sidelined, it was Brook Lopez who who did incredibly well scoring 33 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. Four Milwaukee starters scored more than 20 points, putting the team within one victory of a faceoff with the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals.

But if you want to watch what every person is crazy about during the weekend, Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest live from Coney Island, N.Y., here is that schedule too.
